Shawnee & Will ~ Maison de Moon

Maison de Moon is a true gem secretly nestled in the gorgeous township of Clarendon, just 35km for the Adelaide CBD. Described as a French Provincial European dream venue, magic awaits you at every turn. Originally a historical market garden, the property sits on 13 acres of some of the most stunning garden landscapes, There is a tranquil lake sitting front and centre to the beautifully restored French style farmhouse with pet turtles, ducks, herons and water hens all part of this incredible setting.

You can see why Shawnee and Will chose here for their fairy-tale wedding. They held their ceremony on the beautiful terrace next to the farmhouse but there are no end of places to have your ceremony. Under the huge maple tree, under wisteria walkways, on winding stone staircases, Infront of the stunning castle styled turret, in the rose garden – the opportunities are endless here.

Shawnee and Wills day was just spectacular from start to finish with all the love and feels you can imagine. When I asked them what kind of vibe they were wanting for their day, they told me they wanted to embrace of the ‘gooey’ details of their love story, there was to be lots of laughter and sharing of funny stories and all the feels! So, I set to doing just that! 

Also worth a huge mention is our VIP guest, their super cute labradoodle Sadie who was so perfectly behaved and such a welcome addition to their day!

Shawnee & Wills love story started way back in 2009 at school, Will was the older guy, a whole year older than Shawnee, but despite this they hung out together, chatted online, went to the same parties and shared mutual friends. Then it was Facebook where the magic first happened when Shawnee added Will to her page and she thought ‘What the hell!’ and messaged him asking him for his MSN email. Will replied straight away with his address and the spark was lit! Despite this strong start things were a little slow to get going and as the saying goes ‘You can’t hurry love’, hurry they didn’t. It took an epic 9 years to move from friendship to love, with lots of sliding door’s moments. They both had a huge crush on each other but the timing had never felt right or they couldn’t quite pluck up the courage to tell the other one how they felt.

Then finally on New Years Ever 2017, they were at the same party and with Will attempting his best moves on the dancefloor to impress Shawnee it finally all paid off, Shawnee was suitably impressed and they shared their very first smooch that night. They described it as ‘Love at first kiss’ and they became inseparable from that moment on! Finally Shawnee & Will were official!

I had the absolute pleasure of marrying this beautiful couple surrounded by their loving family and closest friends. It was truly a wonderful experience.
